Camera 1

I was feeling lazy when I was packing for my holiday trip to Belgium, and for whatever reason, I consciously decided that it would be O.K. for me not to pack my camera charger.
I was wrong. I took one photo in Belgium, and then my camera decided it was hibernation time.
It's O.K. though. I picked up a few disposable cameras at Kruidvat, and it felt surprisingly freeing.
Instead of worrying about getting the light right, I could cross my fingers, and leave it all up to fate. Also, people can't complain about how bad they look in the photos. And they can't sneakily delete them when you go to the bathroom.
Win win win.

Dear Santa,

Nice things your friends might like if your friends remind you of me.

1.)Pretty, minimal bangles from I-forget-who. But they look good, right? 2.)Quirky, cool guide books with nice illustrations/photos. I've got my eye on the London edition. 3.)Taupey, neutraly nail colors that always seem to look nice on other people, that I haven't gotten 'round to buying for myself. 4.) My all time favorite magazine. I get much too much satisfaction from rubbing my palms all over the pages. Interesting articles, great photos, even the paper they print on is nice.

B.Button

The Carpenter family is big on movies.
Most Christmases have included a trip to the cinema, especially when we celebrated Hannukah..
Today we saw "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button".

There's something very magical and "Big Fish" about it. I cried lots. My eyes are big red puffballs at the moment, actually.
Cate Blanchett is a goddess.

Hah. As I was leaving the theatre girls and intelligent looking boys were sighing and commenting on its excellence. A bro-type behind me also sighed and said "Dude. That was fucking long as shit!"
